Seven steps, no downtime
Start the 14-day trial
You get a Chattoko number with 150 call minutes, 30 AI voice minutes and 50 SMS to try it. A card is needed, and nothing is charged for 14 days.
Forward your number on day one
Ask your phone company to forward your business number to your new Chattoko number. Callers ring the number they know. Get a lot of calls? Ask whether you can forward only the calls you don't answer, so the trial minutes last.
Keep your old tool running
Don't cancel anything yet. Run both side by side while you try Chattoko.
Set up your call menus, hours and greetings
Pick a quick-start setup, then set your opening hours, phone menu and who rings. Add holiday dates. Upload your greeting and hold music, or type new ones.
Add the chat
Install the Shopify app, or paste one line of code on your website. The chat can be live in minutes. Then remove the old chat code, so shoppers see one chat.
Move your number when you're ready
Email support@chattoko.io and we will do the port with you. A port can take up to six weeks. Keep forwarding on until it's done. Once it arrives, it shows in Chattoko as a ported number.
Cancel the old tool
When calls and chats run in Chattoko, download anything you want to keep from your old tool. Then cancel it.

Questions people ask
Will I miss calls while I switch?
You shouldn't. Your number stays where it is, and you forward it to Chattoko. Callers ring the number they know the whole time. If something isn't right, turn the forwarding off and calls go back to your old setup.
Do I have to cancel my old tool first?
No. Keep it running during the trial. Cancel it only when calls and chats are working in Chattoko.
How long does moving my number take?
A port can take up to six weeks. Email support@chattoko.io when you're ready and we will do the port with you. Keep forwarding on until we tell you it's done.
Can I bring my call recordings and chat history?
No. Chattoko doesn't import call history, recordings or chats from another tool. Download what you want to keep from your old tool before you cancel it.
Can I bring my contacts?
Yes, contacts with an email address. Export them from your old tool as a CSV file and import it in Chattoko. The file needs an email column.
What if I change my mind during the trial?
Turn off the forwarding, and cancel in Settings, Billing before day 14. You pay nothing.
