Connect Shopify: orders, products, phone orders
With your store connected, the AI quotes your real products, prices and stock, looks up orders, and can send a checkout link. Your team sees each customer's orders beside their chat.
Before you start
- The Chattoko app is installed on your store and linked to your workspace (see Add the chat to your Shopify store).
- Draft orders and phone orders need the Chattoko app that Install Chattoko app installs, not a custom app connection.
Steps
Open Integrations ▸ Shopify and check it says Connected. If not, type your Store domain and press Install Chattoko app.
Open Brain ▸ Knowledge ▸ Products. If your products aren't listed, press Sync Products from Shopify; after that, changes in Shopify come across by themselves.
Open Brain ▸ Configure. Under AI Actions, tick what the AI may do, such as Look up Shopify order status, Get stock for SKU and List customer's recent orders.
Press Save AI Config.
Want orders older than 60 days too? In your Shopify admin, open the Chattoko app and press Turn on full order history.
For draft orders, press Turn on draft orders in the Chattoko app in your Shopify admin and approve it.
Back in Integrations ▸ Shopify, under Orders from chat, tick Send checkout links as draft orders and choose which orders wait for your approval.
To take orders by phone, tick Take orders on calls. Wait for approval on every phone order starts ticked.
Press Save Changes.
Check it worked
Press Test in the Inbox to open a test chat. Ask about one of your products: the AI answers with its price and stock. Ask about an order with its number and the email on it: it reads the status from Shopify.
If it didn't work
- The AI says it can't look up orders.
- In Brain ▸ Configure ▸ AI Actions, tick Look up Shopify order status and press Save AI Config. Customers give the order number and the email or phone on the order.
- "Shopify rejected the saved connection" shows beside a chat.
- Open Integrations ▸ Shopify, type your store domain and press Install Chattoko app again to reconnect.
- Take orders on calls is greyed out.
- Turn on Send checkout links as draft orders first, and save. Phone orders also need the AI answering calls in Call ▸ AI Agent, and Send a checkout link for listed products ticked in AI Actions.
